Duties
- Develop and implement engaging Montessori-based curriculum tailored to individual student needs, emphasizing literacy education, math, physical education, and overall childhood development.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment.
- Manage classroom activities with effective classroom management techniques to ensure a safe, organized, and stimulating learning space.
- Plan and execute lesson plans that incorporate Montessori principles, standardized testing preparation, and innovative teaching methods.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers through clear communication about student progress, behavior management strategies, and developmental milestones.
- Utilize assessment tools to monitor student progress and adapt instruction accordingly to support working with students at various developmental stages.
- Maintain detailed records of student activities, progress reports, and compliance with childcare regulations and private school standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in early childhood education or preschool settings with classroom experience in Montessori environments preferred.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, childhood development theories, behavior management techniques, and classroom management best practices.
- Certification or training in Montessori teaching methods is highly desirable; familiarity with special education and early intervention programs is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
- Ability to work with children of diverse backgrounds including toddlers and preschoolers; experience in daycare or private school settings is advantageous.
- Demonstrated skills in lesson planning, tutoring, teaching physical education, and utilizing standardized testing tools.
