Monument Designer / Administration

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Designer. This is an entry-level position, and no prior professional design experience is required—we are willing to train the right candidate. The ideal person should have a strong interest in design, a willingness to learn, and good attention to detail.

In this role, you will work with team members across different departments to help create designs that meet client needs and project goals. You will assist in producing visual layouts and basic drawings to help communicate design ideas. What will you do in this position?

• Work with companies and their employees in the sale of monuments and related products

Responsibilities

• Answer phone/emails in a courteous and professional manner
• Prepare drawings of monuments/memorials using existing designs, custom requests from counselors and/or creation from scratch with high degree of accuracy.
• Order Entry/Invoicing
• Coordinate with customers, outside agencies, and our in-house production/design team
• Remove stencil from areas for Sandblast
• Proper communication with internal/external customers regarding specific designs. Attention to detail including proofing text, confirmation of sizes, colors and texture to meet expected customer requests
• Initiate and follow-up with customers to recommend, answer questions, and resolve customer concerns
• Carefully review and match existing headstone designs, including font styles, layout, spacing, and engraving depth, to accurately add final dates while maintaining a consistent and seamless appearance.

Requirements

• Independent and self-motivated; thrives without the need for constant supervision
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail
• Artistic skills
• Strong Computer skills (ie. Word, Excel, Outlook, Illustrator, Photoshop, and/or CAD related software)
