Morning Front Desk Staff

Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly, professional, and organized Front Desk Staff member to serve as the first point of contact for our gym. This role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere for members and guests while supporting daily front desk and administrative operations. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced fitness environment. Bilingual skills are a plus to better serve our diverse membership base.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests warmly, ensuring a positive and energetic first impression
• Check in members, verify memberships, and assist with new member registrations
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls with professionalism and enthusiasm
• Respond to member inquiries via phone, email, and in person regarding memberships, classes, and gym policies
• Schedule appointments for training sessions, classes, or consultations
• Maintain accurate member records, data entry, and filing systems
• Process payments, memberships, and basic billing transactions as needed
• Assist with administrative tasks such as organizing files, proofreading documents, and maintaining front desk supplies
• Support gym operations by communicating effectively with trainers, management, and staff
• Ensure the front desk and lobby areas remain clean, organized, and welcoming
• Provide exceptional customer service to enhance member satisfaction and retention

Requirements

• Previous experience in customer service, reception, or administrative roles preferred
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Comfortable using multi-line phone systems and point-of-sale or membership software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle member concerns with professionalism, positivity, and discretion
• Bilingual abilities are a plus
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a busy environment
• Previous experience in a gym, fitness center, or hospitality setting is a plus but not required
