Apple Valley News Now is seeking an innovative storyteller interested in anchoring local newscasts. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who wants to dig deeper to tell a compelling story. This position is located at KVEW-TV in Kennewick, Washington.

**What you'll do: **
- Anchor newscasts
- Develop story ideas; shoot, edit and write local news stories for TV & digital platforms
- Demonstrate editorial judgment using knowledge of journalism ethics and libel laws
- Produce newscasts when needed & other roles as assigned by news director
- Enterprise compelling stories for newscasts, website and other platforms

Collaborate with co-workers on the best way to present/report stories
- Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field
- Ability to edit using Adobe Premier preferred but not required
- Degree in journalism, communications or equivalent field preferred
- Strong broadcast and AP style writing skills
- Ability to work under extreme pressure and meet deadlines every day

Ability to lift and carry 15 pounds

Pay range:** $20/hour - $25/hour
