Mortgage Foreclosure Litigation Paralegal (Remote)

Kyle & Kyle Law is a foreclosure defense firm licensed in Florida, Illinois. We seek an experienced litigation paralegal to support three attorneys on active foreclosure files. Candidates from the defense side, plaintiff side, and surplus funds practice are encouraged to apply.

This role is 100% remote. Both Florida and Illinois involve active litigation, and motion practice.

Minimum Requirements

• Two years of paralegal experience in foreclosure litigation (defense, plaintiff side acceptable)
• Permanent residency in Florida, Illinois
• Florida e-portal filing experience (Florida applicants)
• Familiarity with Illinois state court e-filing (Illinois applicants)
• Strong attention to detail
• Independent task management
• Excellent written, oral communication
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
• Willingness to learn new software, MyCase, Microsoft Teams, etc.
• Strict professional, ethical, confidential standards

Responsibilities

• Draft motions to dismiss, answers, affirmative defenses, discovery requests, pleadings
• File court documents through the applicable state e-portal
• Coordinate hearings
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court staff
• Request documents from clients
• Upload cover letters, proposed orders
• Maintain calendar deadlines
• Prepare attorneys for hearings
• Track time in 8amMyCase for all client work
• Follow Workflows and Tasks in 8amMyCase
• Occasional paralegal support on probate, civil litigation files

Position Details

• Full time. Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. local time
• Fully remote. Florida, Illinois residents only

Compensation, Benefits

• Salary: $55,000 to $70,000 per year
