Mortgage Loan Funder - Lead

The Lead Mortgage Funder is responsible for overseeing the daily execution, accuracy, and timeliness of mortgage loan funding activities. This role serves as the subject‑matter expert for loan funding, warehouse bank coordination, and funding compliance. The Lead Mortgage Funder ensures loans are funded in accordance with investor, warehouse, regulatory, and internal requirements, and partners closely with underwriting, closing, secondary marketing, and accounting to support efficient loan delivery and sale.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review closed loan files to ensure all requirement documentation, approvals, and funding conditions have been satisfied.
  • Prepare and process funding requests in accordance with warehouse lender and investor requirements.
  • Initiate and release wire transfers and funding disbursements following established controls and approvals.
  • Ensure loans are funded accurately and within required timelines.
  • Assist with reconciliation of self-funded mortgages.
  • Process additional wires.

Education, Experience, Skills:

  • 2-5 years of mortgage loan funding experience
  • Strong understanding of mortgage loan documents and funding requirements
  • Experience working with warehouse lenders and wire transfers
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong Excel skills
