Job Description:
As a Mortgage Loan Officer Trainee, you will support our loan officers throughout the mortgage application process while gaining hands-on experience in the mortgage industry. This role involves working directly with clients, collecting required documentation, and helping ensure a smooth and timely loan experience. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are detail-oriented, personable, and eager to build a career in mortgage lending while helping clients achieve homeownership.
Responsibilities:
- Assist loan officers with completing and processing mortgage applications
- Contact clients to request and collect required documentation (income, tax returns, credit information, etc.)
- Make outbound calls to identify and connect with potential new clients
- Support the sales team with both new leads and existing clients
- Answer client questions and provide status updates throughout the loan process
- Perform additional administrative and support tasks to keep loans moving efficiently
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree is a plus but not required).
- Previous experience in mortgage lending, sales, or administrative/customer service roles preferred but not required.
- Comfortable making outbound calls and handling incoming live transfers
- Strong verbal communication skills and a professional phone presence
