POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Director, Residential Lending Operations, the Mortgage Loan Pipeline Processor plays a crucial role in managing the mortgage loan application process from initial submission through closing. This role involves coordinating with mortgage loan originators, underwriters, and clients to ensure a smooth and efficient pipeline, maintaining accurate documentation, and adhering to credit union and regulatory requirements. The goal is to ensure a smooth and efficient loan processing experience.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages the loan pipeline for all assigned Mortgage Loan Originators ensuring files move efficiently through each stage of the process.
Cross-trains in other mortgage processing roles and provides back-up and support as needed.
Serves as the primary point of contact between the members/borrowers, real estate agents, title companies, third-party brokers and internal sales staff ensuring regular communication with all parties through telephone calls, emails, and other appropriate channels.
Ensures all required is collected and compliant with regulator, investor and secondary market guidelines, including appraisals, title reports, flood determinations and all underwriting stipulations.
Reviews and evaluates loan conditions and borrower documentation submitted by applications or Loan Originators for completeness and accuracy.
Responsible for points and fee loan reviews, verification of employment, and review of financial bank statements.
Acts as a liaison between origination, underwriting, and processing team to facilitate a smooth and timely workflow.
Prepares and issues loan disclosures to the borrower in accordance with compliance requirements.
Coordinates loan closing logistics and generates accurate closing documentation to ensure a seamless closing experience.
Follows and adheres to the Credit Union’s policy regarding attendance and punctuality.


JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Understanding of mortgage lending regulations, compliance standards, and loan products.
Familiarity with the mortgage application and closing processes.
Must meet and comply with all requirements set forth in the SAFE ACT including but not limited to successful completion of the required background checks and obtaining a Unique Identifier for NMLS.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact.


EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
A high school education or GED with emphasis on business administration.
Two years to five years of similar or related experience.
Proficiency in mortgage processing software and Microsoft Office Suite.

The working arrangement for this position is hybrid. Hybrid work is an opportunity to find the right balance between working in the office and remotely, especially if it supports individual success and the needs of our organization. Hybrid schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business unit needs and may vary by department.
