Job Summary
The purpose of this job is to provide administrative support for the Loan Operations Department.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

One to three years experience as a processor, or related experience

Experience with product guidelines for conventional mortgages and government mortgages and with industry standard underwriting system.

Ability to learn quickly and apply that knowledge along with the ability to work in a team environment.
Essential Job Functions
- Monitors loan status from submission through close.
- Acts as a liaison between the Mortgage Lender, underwriters, and closing.

Assists Mortgage Lender in the resolution of issues that arise pertaining to the processing and closing of the loan.

Gather required information from third parties (title companies, appraisers, etc.) and communicate loan updates to Loan Officer and Underwriter.
- Provides technical support and expertise to Mortgage Lender in resolving customer issues, needs or concerns to enhance timely and effective customer service and promote efficient loan closings.

Transact business in conformance with state and federal regulations such as, but not limited to, RESPA, HMDA, and Fair Lending Practices. Consistently works in accordance to published department sales and services standards.

Loan Processor will perform job functions inclusive of loan processing as well as preparing Change of Circumstance documents to re-disclose.
- Loan Processor will also prepare Closing Disclosures and communicate frequently with title companies.

Identifies opportunities to refer customers and/or potential customers to other units of the bank to provide services that meet their needs.

Ability to perform in a fast paced, high pressure environment.

Recommend and sell bank products and services and educate customers about products and services. Make referrals to appropriate departments.

Actively participates in community relations efforts to contribute to the mission and visibility of the bank.
- Cross train in other department duties, including but not limited to loan closing, shipping and funding.

Other duties as assigned by management.
Equipment Operated
Personal computer skills, calculator, fax, copier, telephone, computer printer, and the following software: Laser Pro, Decision Pro, MortgageBOT, Jack Henry core banking system, Microsoft Office suite, Bank Manager, etc.
Work Environment
Work is performed primarily at a desk with regular contact with employees and customers, in person and on the phone. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demands
The employee is required to stand for most of the shift and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens.
