What You’ll Be Doing

As a Mortgage Loan Specialist I, you’ll be a key partner in our mortgage process, supporting our lenders and walking alongside members from application to closing.

On any given day, you might:

Be the friendly voice answering incoming mortgage questions and connecting members with the right lender
Serve as the bridge between members and mortgage lenders, making sure communication stays clear and timely
Provide regular updates so members always know where they stand in the process
Collect and organize required loan documentation, following up when items are missing
Order credit reports, appraisals, flood certifications, and lien searches (as directed)
Review documents for accuracy and completeness and maintain organized, paperless loan files
Cross train as assigned and provide back-up for all department functions when requested.

What We’re Looking For

Have at least one year of mortgage loan processing experience (preferred)
Are eligible to pass a background check required by the SAFE Act/NMLS
Bring exceptional member service skills to every interaction
Are comfortable working with computers, documents, and detailed information
Can read and understand real estate documents like deeds of trust and notes
Communicate clearly whether that’s in conversation, email, or documentation
Pay close attention to detail and stay focused in a fast-paced, accuracy-driven environment

A Few Things to Know

This position involves a lot of sitting, screen time, and document review.
Occasionally, lifting, filing, or retrieving files may be required
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
