1. Academic Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver lessons for all subjects (in lower grades) or key subjects (in upper primary) effectively.
2. Pastoral and Emotional Care
- Act as a guardian and first point of contact for all students in her class.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to help children adjust socially and emotionally.
- Observe and report any behavioral or emotional concerns to the school counselor or coordinator.
- Encourage positive behavior, discipline, and moral values in students.
3. Communication and Coordination
- Maintain regular communication with parents regarding the child’s progress, conduct, and wellbeing.
- Organize and participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs).
- Coordinate with subject teachers and the class coordinator to ensure the overall development of students.
- Serve as a bridge between parents and the school for any class-related concerns.
4. Classroom Management
- Maintain discipline and decorum in the classroom.
- Create a welcoming, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.
- Decorate and update class bulletin boards regularly with students’ work and educational displays.
- Ensure proper maintenance of class furniture, resources, and cleanliness.
5. Student Development
- Encourage students to participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
- Recognize and nurture each student’s individual talents and strengths.
- Promote teamwork, empathy, and respect among classmates.
- Conduct activities that enhance life skills, values, and confidence.
6. Administrative Duties
- Take daily attendance and maintain attendance records accurately.
- Update student data, performance charts, and anecdotal records regularly.
- Ensure that circulars and notices are communicated to students and parents.
- Assist in school events, assemblies, and celebrations as required.
- Maintain daily lesson plans and ensure timely syllabus completion.
- Identify students’ learning levels and provide additional support to slow learners.
- Regularly assess students’ academic progress through classwork, homework, and formative assessments.
- Maintain subject-wise records, notebooks, and report cards accurately.
