Job Purpose:

The Mother Teacher is responsible for nurturing, teaching, and supporting the holistic development of children from Nursery to UKG by creating a safe, caring, and stimulating learning environment that promotes cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Academic & Classroom Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons and activities as per the school curriculum.
  • Teach foundational concepts such as letters, numbers, colors, shapes, phonics, and basic life skills.
  • Use play-based, activity-oriented, and experiential learning methods.
  • Conduct continuous observation and assessment of children’s progress.
  • Maintain daily lesson plans, worksheets, and student records.

Child Care & Development:

  • Ensure the safety, hygiene, and well-being of children at all times.
  • Foster emotional security by building warm and trusting relationships with students.
  • Encourage good habits, discipline, and positive behavior.
  • Support children in developing independence, confidence, and social skills.

Classroom Management:

  • Create a joyful, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Maintain classroom discipline through positive reinforcement.
  • Organize learning corners, teaching aids, and activity materials.

Parent & School Coordination:

  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding child progress, behavior, and concerns.
  • Participate in parent-teacher meetings, orientations, and school events.
  • Collaborate with support staff and co-teachers for smooth classroom functioning.

Administrative & Other Duties:

  • Prepare report cards, portfolios, and assessment records.
  • Participate in training programs, workshops, and staff meetings.
  • Follow school policies, child protection norms, and safety guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate or Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) / NTT / D.Ed / Montessori.
  • Training or certification in pre-primary education is mandatory.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Love for children and a nurturing, patient attitude.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for early years teaching.
  • Ability to manage young learners effectively.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
