Motor Insurance Surveyor
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Motor Insurance Surveyor is a pivotal role within our company, specializing in the assessment of vehicle damages, estimation of repair costs, and verification of insurance policy terms and conditions. Your expertise is crucial in identifying potential fraud, providing valuable feedback to the underwriting department, and managing the total loss process efficiently. Your responsibilities ensure the integrity and effectiveness of our motor insurance claims process, supporting our commitment to excellence in customer service and claims management.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

Follow all relevant Claims and Network policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Ensure all claims adhere to the established insurance policy terms and conditions, identifying discrepancies or issues.
Damage Assessment / Cost Estimation

Conduct comprehensive assessments of vehicle damage to determine the extent and impact on insurance claims.

Provide accurate and timely estimates for vehicle repairs, contributing to efficient claim processing.

Proactively identify and report any suspected fraudulent activities to safeguard company interests.
Documentation and Support

Review and manage customer accounts and transactions, resolve issues, process payments, and assist with the claim registration process, directing customers to panel workshops as necessary.

Accurately document customer interactions, inquiries, and feedback in their accounts, ensuring a detailed record of all communications and actions.
Underwriting / Loss / Recovery

Deliver insightful feedback to the underwriting department based on trends observed in claims and damage assessments.

Efficiently handle total loss cases, from preparing comparison tables to securing and documenting vehicles for online auctions.

Actively pursue recovery claims to expedite approval processes and maximize recoveries.
Knowledge & Experience:

Extensive experience as a Motor Insurance Surveyor, with a deep understanding of vehicle mechanics and damage assessment.

Proficiency in repair cost estimation and insurance policy analysis.

Graduates with good communication

Minimum experience required is 3 – 5 years within insurance preferably Motor insurance
