Motorcycle Technician

JD:

The Motorcycle Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining CFMOTO motorcycles to ensure optimal performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. The role requires technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems and adherence to CFMOTO service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnostics & Repair:

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in motorcycles using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
• Perform repairs or replacements on engines, brakes, suspension, electrical systems, and other motorcycle components.
• Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, chain adjustments, tire replacements, and safety checks.
• Perform road tests to verify repairs and ensure motorcycle performance and safety.

Workshop Coordination:

• Follow job card instructions and service orders provided by the Workshop Supervisor.
• Communicate repair status and additional findings to service advisors.
• Collaborate with other technicians and support staff to ensure smooth workflow.

Quality & Compliance:

• Ensure all repairs and maintenance adhere to CFMOTO technical standards and safety regulations.
• Use workshop tools and equipment safely, following proper procedures.
• Report recurring issues, defective parts, or additional repair needs to the Workshop Supervisor.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Accurately record work completed, parts used, and hours spent on each job.
• Maintain organized workshop records and service documentation.
• Assist in post-service inspections and quality checks.

Customer Service:

• Provide professional and courteous interactions with customers when required.
• Support service advisors in explaining technical issues and preventive maintenance advice to customers.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma or technical certification in Motorcycle or Automotive Mechanics.
• 2–5 years of experience as a motorcycle technician, preferably in a dealership or OEM service center.
• Strong technical knowledge of motorcycle mechanical and electrical systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
• Problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Basic computer literacy for service reporting and record-keeping.
