Duties

• Safely load and unload furniture, boxes, and other household or commercial items using proper lifting techniques and equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks, or forklifts when necessary
• Assist customers with packing, wrapping, and securing items to prevent damage during transit
• Operate commercial vehicles like box trucks or <PERSON> drivers’ trucks for local or long-distance moves
• Drive route-specific vehicles with manual transmissions while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load and unload trucks efficiently using tools such as pallet jacks and forklifts, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety standards are maintained
• Coordinate with team members to organize items for optimal space utilization in trucks and storage areas
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about move timelines, procedures, and any special requirements

Qualifications

• Prior experience in moving, warehouse work, or delivery driving is highly preferred
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles is a plus
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods while maintaining good physical condition
• Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
• Experience with route driving or courier services is advantageous
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to moving operations and vehicle operation
