Moving Company Qualified Driver

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Safely operate box trucks and commercial vehicles with manual transmission, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load and unload customers’ belongings using proper lifting techniques, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment as needed
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly, professionally, and courteously with clients throughout the moving process
• Plan and execute route driving efficiently to meet scheduled delivery times while maintaining safety standards
• Assist with warehouse organization, inventory management, and preparation of items for transport
• Ensure all cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit
• Perform routine vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with <PERSON> driver or courier roles preferred
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or moving company driver, especially with box trucks or similar commercial vehicles
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
• Ability to lift heavy items safely and perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting regularly
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, forklift operation, pallet jacks, and manual transmission vehicles
• Knowledge of route planning and route driving best practices
• Prior experience in moving services or warehouse environments is highly desirable
