The Moving Technician supports the daily operational needs of Immanuel Living at Home Maintenance Services and Immanuel Direct Moving Services by performing essential tasks across two primary service areas.
1. Immanuel Living at Home Maintenance Services reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Operations Technician is responsible for completing assigned maintenance work orders within residents’ homes. This includes performing a variety of repair, maintenance, and home-service tasks while ensuring safety, quality workmanship, and a positive service experience for residents.
2. Residential Moving Support In addition to maintenance responsibilities, the Moving Technician provides hands-on assistance with residential moves. This includes safely moving furniture, boxes, and household items, ensuring proper handling and efficient completion of each relocation.
Together, these responsibilities ensure the consistent delivery of dependable, high-quality services to residents and contribute to the overall operational success of the department.
Immanuel Living at Home Maintenance Services
➢Complete assigned maintenance work orders professionally and efficiently.
➢Perform basic household repairs, including minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance.
➢Conduct safety checks and report hazards or repair needs to the Operations Supervisor.
➢Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed.
➢Uphold high-quality workmanship and safety standards.
Immanuel Direct Moving Technician
➢Safely lift, carry, move, and relocate furniture, boxes, and personal belongings.
➢Use moving equipment such as dollies, pads, straps, and ramps correctly.
➢Load and unload trucks while ensuring proper protection of items.
➢Provide courteous and supportive assistance to residents during moves.
Compliance & Safety
➢Follow OSHA, DOT (if applicable), and company safety standards at all times.
➢Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles safely and responsibly.
➢Assist with documentation related to equipment use, safety checks, and maintenance activities.
➢Report safety concerns immediately and contribute to a safe work environment.
Operational Support
➢Communicate daily progress, updates, and concerns to the Operations Supervisor.
➢Assist with organizing and maintaining tools, equipment, and supplies.
➢Support scheduling and coordination for maintenance and moving services.
➢Participate in improvement efforts related to efficiency, safety, and service quality.
Customer & Resident Service
➢Provide friendly, respectful, and professional service to residents, families, and customers.
➢Clearly communicate work performed and expected timelines.
➢Represent Immanuel Direct with professionalism and integrity.
➢Address concerns promptly and escalate issues when appropriate.
Essential Physical, Mental and Emotional Requirements
➢The employee must be at least 18 years of age, as the position operates potentially hazardous equipment.
➢The employee must be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and be able to work under time and/or deadline pressures.
➢Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
➢Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks as needed.
➢3 to 5 years of maintenance experience
➢Experience in Senior Living, multifamily housing, or regulated residential environments is a plus.
➢Current Montana Driver’s License in good standing that is valid and insurable.
