Mowing Crew Laborer

Job Summary

As a Mowing Laborer at Level Up Lawncare, you will operate string trimmers, blowers, edgers, and various types of mowers to perform lawn maintenance tasks. You will work alongside a crew leader to ensure high-quality service and efficient completion of assigned jobs. Laborers are expected to work diligently and effectively while maintaining a professional attitude. Any issues or obstacles encountered should be reported to the crew leader immediately.

Responsibilities

• Perform mowing, weed trimming, and blowing while navigating around potential obstacles such as wet areas, slopes, and landscaping features.
• Arrive on time with the proper uniform and PPE.
• Foster a positive attitude and actively contribute to enhancing the overall culture and success of the company.
• Maintain a professional and safety-conscious approach to all tasks.

Safety Guidelines

Operating equipment like mowers and string trimmers requires a high level of awareness and caution. Employees must:

• Always be aware of their surroundings while operating machinery.
• Comply with all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) protocols, including:
• Steel-toe boots
• Eye protection
• Hearing protection
• Identify and avoid potential hazards that could pose risks to themselves, the equipment, or the property.

Equipment Usage & Maintenance

• Use all mowing and maintenance equipment responsibly and carefully.
• Report any equipment issues, malfunctions, or breakdowns to the crew leader immediately.
• Treat equipment with care to prevent unnecessary damage and downtime.
• Properly secure and store all equipment on the trailer at the end of each job.

Flexibility

• Due to weather conditions, scheduling adjustments may be necessary.
• Employees should be prepared for delayed or rescheduled workdays and occasional weekend shifts if required.
• If fieldwork is canceled due to weather, alternative tasks such as equipment maintenance and shop duties may be assigned.

Compensation

• Hourly Wage: starting at $18 per hour
• Guaranteed $20 per hour within a year
• Up to 1,200 in monthly bonuses

Uniform

• Level Up Lawncare will provide work shirts
• Employee are required to wear pants to work
• Black pants are required for work 2 weeks after initial hire date

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
