Mowing Crew Team Captain (Crew Lead) Mechanicsburg, PA $18.50/hr base + performance pay Full-Time, Seasonal with leadership growth opportunity

D&D Lawn Co. is hiring a Mowing Crew Team Captain to lead one of our mowing crews. This is a leadership role for someone who takes pride in quality work, can manage a route independently, and is comfortable leading and training others in the field.

Role Overview

As a Team Captain, you are responsible for the success of the daily mowing route. You lead the crew, ensure quality standards are met, and act as the main point of communication between the field and the office.

Mowing & Crew Responsibilities

• Drive the truck and lead the mowing crew on daily routes
• Train and guide new team members in mowing, trimming, edging, and cleanup
• Ensure all lawns meet D&D Lawn Co. quality standards:
• 3.5” cut height
• Clean trim lines
• No clumping
• Full blow-off of all surfaces
• Communicate delays, skipped properties, or issues to the office
• Verify all equipment is loaded, operational, and used correctly
• Provide real-time feedback and coaching to crew members
• Represent D&D Lawn Co. professionally at every property

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform lawn mower maintenance once per week
• Keep truck and trailer clean, organized, and inspection-ready
• Ensure the crew operates safely and efficiently throughout the day

Pay & Compensation

• Base Pay: $18.50/hour
• Performance Pay: 36% of revenue generated by the crew
• High-performing Team Captains earn more by running efficient, high-quality routes

What We’re Looking For

• Prior mowing or landscaping experience strongly preferred
• Leadership experience or ability to confidently lead others
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Ability to make independent decisions in the field
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Comfortable communicating with both crew members and office staff

• Daytime shifts, primarily Tuesday–Friday
