As the Mowing Foreman, you will lead and manage landscape maintenance routes from start to finish, ensuring the highest quality of work, team efficiency, and client satisfaction. This role requires a hands-on leader with a passion for the landscape maintenance industry and the ability to motivate and guide crews in the field. The individual should demonstrate key qualities of being humble, hungry, and smart. You'll work closely with internal teams and clients to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
The Landscape Maintenance Foreman reports to the Turf Care Manager.
Responsibilities
- Leadership and Crew Management: Lead and direct mowing crews, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment on the job site. Assign tasks to crew members, provide on-the-job training, and ensure safety and compliance with company standards and industry regulations. As a rule, the foreman is never to leave the jobsite during production time.
- Job Oversight: Oversee daily mowing operations, including mowing, trimming, edging, bed spray, turf repair, snow removal, and other landscape elements, ensuring efficient workflow and quality craftsmanship. Track time and materials used during the jobs.
- Operational Efficiency: Plan and manage work schedules, equipment, and materials to optimize productivity and ensure routes are completed within deadlines and budgets.
- Quality Control: Implement and maintain rigorous quality standards, ensuring all work meets the company’s specifications and exceeds client expectations.
- Problem-Solving: Anticipate, identify, and resolve any route issues or challenges that may arise to keep routes moving smoothly.
- Collaboration: Work closely with account managers and other departments to ensure alignment on jobsite goals and client vision.

- On-Time Job Completion: Ensure mowing routes are completed within set deadlines while maintaining the highest quality standards. Man-hour budget expectation is 100% or better on a weekly basis.
- Cost Management: Effectively manage resources, reducing waste and controlling costs while delivering exceptional results.
- Crew Efficiency: Build and lead a high-performing, cohesive team that works efficiently and with minimal downtime.
- Client Satisfaction: Maintain excellent client relations, ensuring all property visits meet or exceed their expectations.
- Problem Resolution: Proactively address and resolve job site challenges, ensuring smooth progress without significant delays.
- Continuous Improvement: Encourage and implement innovative practices and techniques to improve overall operational effectiveness and maintenance quality.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in landscape maintenance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage crews effectively.
- Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance processes, including mowing, weed control, trimming and edging, and snow management.
- Solid understanding of equipment operation, safety protocols, and industry standards.
