Position: Mowing Operations Manager

Reports To: Owner – Chris

Position Summary

The Mowing Operations Manager is responsible for leading and managing Duck Works Lawn Care's mowing division. This role oversees mowing crews, equipment, job quality, inventory, and operational efficiency. The manager ensures that all properties meet company quality standards while maintaining a safe, organized, and productive team environment.

Primary Responsibilities

· Manage and supervise all mowing crews

· Ensure jobs are completed on schedule and meet company quality standards

· Train and develop crew members

· Perform routine quality inspections of completed properties

· Manage mowing equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, trucks, and trailers

· Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs

· Manage department inventory (fuel, blades, oils, parts, etc.)

· Maintain the organization and cleanliness of trucks and trailers.

· Communicate daily schedules and expectations to crews

· Monitor productivity and improve operational efficiency

Performance Expectations

· Maintain high-quality mowing standards across all properties

· Keep equipment in strong operating condition

· Develop reliable and productive mowing crews

· Minimize equipment downtime

· Maintain organized equipment and supply inventory

· Ensure crews operate safely and professionally

Required Qualifications

· Minimum 5 years experience in lawn care or landscaping

· Minimum 2 years experience managing or supervising employees

· Valid driver's license

· Experience driving trucks with trailers

· Strong leadership and communication skills

· Strong attention to detail and quality

Preferred Skills

· Experience managing multiple mowing crews

· Mechanical knowledge for minor equipment repairs

· Experience scheduling lawn care routes

· Strong organization and leadership ability

Physical Requirements

· Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

· Ability to lift 50+ pounds

· Ability to walk and inspect multiple job sites daily

Compensation

Compensation is competitive and based on experience. Additional incentives or bonuses may be available based on performance, leadership, and department productivity.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
