MOWING/LAWN CARE FOR SENIORS 60+ - P/T & flexible

Nonprofit organization looking for independent contractors to provide mowing services (and minor lawn care) to our clients from May through November. (push mowers only/no riding lawmowers)

We serve residents throughout Hennepin County - you may request preferred areas of service within Hennepin County, but the number of clients needing assignments in particular areas is variable.

Would you like to help seniors remain in the homes they love? Senior Community Services is hiring compassionate, dependable, and trustworthy people to mow lawns for adults age 60 and older.

Regular lawn mowing helps seniors have pride in their homes. Regular visits from workers can also improve their emotional well-being.

DUTIES:

· Mow lawns approximately every 7-10 days per house

· Complete basic grass/weed trimming as needed

BENEFITS:

· Earn $20 per hour

· Build your own schedule

· We’ll help you get started with participants

· You set regular hours with your clients moving forward

REQUIREMENTS:

· At least 18 years old

· Must be physically able to do the work (lift 20+ pounds, bend, stretch, etc.)

· Must be able to supply and transport your own dependable push lawn mower and weed trimmer/whacker. This is a firm requirement!

· Must have valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation

· Able to consent to and pass a criminal background check

· Able to complete required paperwork for time tracking and work completed

· Able to effectively communicate with participants and SCS staff in person, by phone, text, and email. Having a cell phone with voicemail and text capabilities is required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Area 3 (Westonka): Wayzata, Woodland, Deephaven, Excelsior, Shorewood, Tonka Bay, Minnetonka Beach, Orono, Long Lake, Spring Park, Greenwood, & Mound.
Area 4: City of Minneapolis (North Minneapolis or South Minneapolis?)

• Do you have your own reliable transportation and the ability to supply and transport your own push mower & weed trimmer/whacker? If No, PLEASE DO NOT APPY FOR THIS POSITION. We DO NOT/CANNOT supply transportation or equipment.
• Are you comfortable working with Seniors 60+?
