Job Title: MPD Control System Technician
Number of Positions: 2
Contract Duration: May – September
Rotation: 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off
Location: Offshore – Drillship – Deepwater environment
Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced Control System Technicians to join our offshore drilling team. The successful candidates will be responsible for operating and maintaining the MPD (Managed Pressure Drilling) control system, ensuring safe and efficient drilling operations in a deepwater environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor the MPD control system effectively.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in a timely manner.
- Escalate rig situations clearly and promptly to relevant personnel.
- Collaborate closely with rig crew and client representatives to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain accurate operational records and reports.
- Deliver high-quality customer service and support to clients offshore.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of deepwater MPD experience.
- Proficiency in operating @Balance MPD system
- Engineering degree is desirable but not mandatory.
- Proficient in English (verbal and written).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, high-pressure offshore environment.
- Customer service oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Certification:
- Valid Offshore Survival
- Valid Offshore Medical
