Roles & Responsibilities of MRD Executive – AINU Hospital, Chennai
As an MRD Executive at AINU Hospital, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, security, and accessibility of patient medical records, while supporting hospital operations and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Records Management: Maintain and update patient medical data, including accurate coding, collection, processing, and safe storage of records.
- Discharge Records: Enter discharge files into the discharge analysis register and systematically arrange discharged records month-wise for easy retrieval.
- Death Reports: Collect and compile death information from wards, prepare reports, and forward them to the appropriate corporation authorities.
- Certificates & Legal Records: Issue wound certificates and other medico-legal documents to authorized authorities (e.g., police) in compliance with hospital protocols.
- Corrections & Requests: Process and organize corrections to death or medical records as requested by patient relatives, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Research Support: Retrieve and provide medical records for clinical studies, audits, and research purposes as required by medical staff.
- Supervision & Training: Assist in training and guiding junior staff, interns, and record-keeping personnel on hospital policies and record-management standards.
- Interdepartmental Coordination: Act as a communication link between medical staff, administrative departments, and external agencies for smooth flow of medical information.
- Compliance & Confidentiality: Ensure adherence to hospital policies, government regulations, and data confidentiality standards in handling medical records.
Skills & Attributes:
Education - Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Medical Record Technology (BMRT) / Diploma programs in Medical Record Technology (DMRT)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of medical record systems and hospital documentation standards
- Good communication and collaboration abilities to work with doctors, nurses, and administrators
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
