Under the general supervision of the Lead MRI Technologist and according to established policies and procedures, this individual will be responsible for performing and ensuring appropriate quality control, providing requested films of high diagnostic quality based on the specifics of each case, interacting effectively and professionally with patients, referring physicians and their staff, and fellow employees while maintaining the best possible patient flow and throughput at all times. Looking for someone with knowledge of operating an Open MRI machine.

Job Requirements:

  • Physical dexterity and strength to operate all types of MR-related equipment, properly position patients and handle patient films and files.
  • Accurately utilizes the PACS (Picture Archival System) to make images available to the radiologist for interpretation with a minimum number of exceptions.
  • Enters proper exam coding in the Radiology Information System and arrives and completes exams in a timely fashion.
  • Assists in the care and maintenance of facilities, equipment and supplies. Reports any equipment problems or malfunctions to the supervisor in a timely fashion.
  • Conceptual ability to determine means of providing requested studies based on the specifics of each case.
  • Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical and/or emotional stress, referring physicians and staff, the radiologist, fellow employees, suppliers and service representatives and all others with whom they come in contact during the course of the business day.
  • Organizational skills as required by the position.
  • Analytical skills to compile and interpret data.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide proper patient care.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills to perform exams as outlined by governing bodies.

Qualifications/ Licensure Required:

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT), or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), or must be registry eligible and pass the registry and become ARRT or ARMRIT certified within 1 year (required); American Heart Association BLS
  • Preferred: MRI Technology (ARRT) or (ARMRIT)
  • Ability to perform as a working MRI Technologist.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of radiology equipment including MRI safety. Knowledge of 3D anatomy or MRI courses with 3D anatomy.

Salary will be discussed during the in-person interview in accordance with the candidates experience and knowledge.
