The MRO Buyer manages procurement activities across various departments, ensuring optimal cost-effectiveness, timely delivery, and compliance with quality standards. This role requires effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
Primary Responsibilities:
Procurement Planning

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand procurement requirements, including inventory needs, production schedules, and quality standards. Ensure planning covers MRO materials and office supplies needs.
Order Management

Place purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and services, coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve any issues or delays.
Supplier Management

Monitor and manage supplier performance, including delivery performance, quality control, and compliance with contractual obligations.

Conduct regular supplier reviews and evaluations.

Seek opportunities for supplier development and improvement.
Record-Keeping

Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier information, according to company policies and procedures.
Inventory Management

Collaborate with the planning team to forecast demand, ensuring adequate inventory levels are maintained, considering lead times and production schedules.
Cost
Optimization

Identify and implement cost-saving measures and process improvements.

Explore opportunities for supplier consolidation.
Reporting

Generate reports and analyses on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost-saving initiatives.
Requirements:
Skills And Competencies

min. 5 years of proven experience in procurement or supply chain management.

Proficiency in using procurement software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and Microsoft Excel for data analysis.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with supply chain principles, inventory management, and demand forecasting is desirable.
Experience & Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.

Degree in Mechanical Engineering is an added advantage.

Practical experience in MRO and Office Supplies procurement.
