Contract Position: MRP Consultant (NetSuite Experience Required)
Location: Edgewood, NY 11717 (Hybrid – On-site a few days per week preferred)

About the Role:

Parkell, a leading manufacturer, is seeking an experienced MRP Consultant with strong NetSuite expertise to help design and implement a robust Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system. This is a consulting engagement to transform our manufacturing operations by aligning purchasing with real-time inventory and production needs. You will collaborate across departments to ensure a seamless rollout, robust adoption, and long-term efficiency gains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of an MRP system integrated with NetSuite.
  • Configure and optimize indented Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support manufacturing workflows.
  • Automate reorder points, lead-time calculations, and planning parameters to improve efficiency and visibility across departments.
  • Partner with internal teams to design user-friendly solutions and provide training for smooth adoption.
  • Incorporate advanced functionality such as:
  • Forecasting tools for inventory planning
  • Vendor scorecards to track supplier performance
  • Real-time COGS tracking and landed cost integration
  • Enhanced reporting for data-driven decisions
  • Configure and maintain master data (BOMs, item master, routings, planning parameters).
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for NetSuite MRP capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Proven success implementing MRP within NetSuite in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, BOM structures, supply chain, and inventory control.
  • Hands-on experience with Lean manufacturing and Just-in-Time (JIT) principles.
  • Excellent communication and training skills to ensure smooth adoption.
  • Ability to work on-site in Edgewood, NY 11717 a few days per week to collaborate closely with our team.
