We are a growing Managed Services Provider (MSP) delivering proactive IT support and strategic technology services to small and mid-sized businesses. Our clients rely on us to manage their full tech stack—including cloud, on-prem systems, and network infrastructure. We’re looking for a highly capable Level 2–3 Technician to handle more advanced issues, mentor junior techs, and take point on projects and escalations.
Position Summary:
As a Level 2–3 Technician, you will serve as a technical lead for escalations, support complex environments, and deploy new infrastructure. You’ll work directly with clients and systems involving Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Azure, Windows Server, and modern networking hardware. This is not a Level 1 role—you're expected to hit the ground running with minimal handholding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as an escalation point for Level 1 techs and handle advanced troubleshooting
- Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune)
- Configure and manage Microsoft Azure services (VMs, storage, identity, hybrid AD)
- Support and manage Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Drive, Admin Console)
- Deploy and support firewalls, routers, managed switches, and wireless infrastructure (e.g., SonicWall, Ubiquiti, Cisco Meraki)
- Set up and maintain VPNs, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and port forwarding rules
- Plan and execute infrastructure projects (e.g., server upgrades, cloud migrations)
- Monitor and manage systems through RMM and PSA platforms
- Maintain and test backup and disaster recovery systems (e.g., Datto, Veeam)
- Document tickets, configurations, and client environments clearly
- Communicate professionally with clients in person, over the phone, and via email
Requirements:
- 3+ years of hands-on IT support experience, ideally in an MSP environment
- Proficient with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), AD, Group Policy, and remote desktop services
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and Google Workspace administration
- Familiar with firewalls, network segmentation, VPNs, and router/switch configuration
- Solid understanding of IP networking concepts (subnetting, routing, NAT, VLANs)
- Experience with backup/disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Datto, Veeam, Acronis)
- Scripting (PowerShell preferred) and automation experience a plus
- Experience with RMM/PSA tools (e.g., ConnectWise, Kaseya, N-able, Autotask)
- Able to prioritize and manage multiple issues across clients
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
