Multi-Property Maintenance Technician

We are hiring a Maintenance Technician to work with a team of 4 and maintain 7 of our properties (350 units) in Sacramento, CA. Under the supervision of the Property Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall maintenance of the properties.

Perform typical maintenance duties such as, but not limited to:

• Assuring all assigned work orders are accurately completed
• Light electrical repairs
• Light plumbing repairs
• Painting, interior and exterior
• Light carpentry
• Assisting with move-ins, move-outs and annual inspections
• Cleaning common areas
• Maintaining inventory control of all on-site tools, equipment, and supplies
• Replacing blinds, drapes, locks, screens, filters, and bulbs
• Cleaning the trash container area
• Complying with company safety policies and procedures
• Reliable knowledge of all utility routing and shut-offs
• Maintaining the shop, storage, and ensuring that equipment is secure
• Participating in preventive maintenance program

Experience and Qualifications:

• Must be able to travel between work sites on a daily basis as needed
• Must be able to be on an on-call schedule for after hours emergencies
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English as required to perform the essential functions of the position.
• At least 2 years of experience in apartment and/or residential maintenance
• Prior experience in Apartment or Hotel industry
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, 10 pounds over head and scale ladders
• Pride of workmanship, self-motivated
• Ability to prioritize and work independently
• Good communication skills and professional appearance
• Organized with great attention to detail
• Capable of performing sustained manual labor
• Ability to work in inclement weather
• Ability to use property management software

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM to 4PM (Saturday and Sunday off)

Emergency On-Call Schedule: Rotates every other weekend (can be discussed)

Salary ranges are based on paying competitively for size and industry. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. The ranges shared are for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however we are often open to a wide variety of profiles and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced or more senior than this job description as posted.
