Position Overview:
The Maintenance Technician will perform essential maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of our residential and commercial properties. This hands-on role involves working closely with property managers and teams to address day-to-day maintenance needs and deliver high-quality service to residents and tenants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building repairs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently to ensure tenant satisfaction.
- Conduct inspections to identify maintenance needs and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Troubleshoot and repair building systems and equipment, ensuring they operate at optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory usage.
- Collaborate with property management staff to prioritize and complete maintenance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and condition of common areas, grounds, and facilities.
- Assist with vendor coordination for specialized repairs or projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role in property management, facilities, or construction.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently and independently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with safety protocols, building codes, and industry standards.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with residents and team members.
- Basic computer skills for managing work orders and maintenance logs.
- Certification or training in specific trades (e.g., HVAC, electrical) is a plus.
