The Multi Skilled Static Engineer will be responsible for assisting in the operation, repair, and maintenance of the site. The successful candidate will report to the Contract Manager.
Experienced or newly qualified commercial electrician to join our expanding team in Central Square Leeds. The successful candidate will have experience working on a variety of commercial site/systems. You must be capable of diagnosing and fixing faults, completing repairs and minor installations/upgrades, and EICR's as this will mostly comprise your daily tasks. You must also be computer literate and be able to learn and use client reporting portals and complete electrical certification accurately. You will require minimal supervision, be flexible to accommodate workloads, of smart appearance with a can-do attitude and have a great safety culture.
Main Duties & Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair faults on commercial electrical systems, N-Light emergency light self-testing, BMS and lighting control modules

Electrical PPM, along with various water monitoring and compiling records and minor plumbing

Minor installations and upgrades to commercial electrical systems

EICR's
-
Use your knowledge of regs to complete all work and make recommendations in compliance with IEE wiring regs
-
This is a static role. Your days will be varied, and you will be undertaking a mixture of electrical/mechanical and HVAC works onsite for tenants.

Management of specialist sub-contractors that may attend site to carry out PPM or reactive works

Complete electronic and paper records of all tasks carried out and filed in the site log books

Carry out housekeeping of all plant areas

Manage subcontractors when working on site
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
-
Qualified electrician experience working on commercial systems in a similar role

Comprehensive understanding of IEE regs and NICEIC guidelines

Good communication

Good IT skills; Microsoft

Practical and flexible approach to work with the ability to multi-task & work under pressure to achieve deadlines

Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment

An understanding of basic plumbing or HVAC systems

Experience with BEMS systems

Being resourceful and self-motivated

A Logical approach to fault-finding

Must be able to read schematic drawings

Must be able to work as part of a close-knit team and able to resolve issues quickly and efficiently

Able to use self-initiative to resolve issues

Complete required reports on the company's CAFM system qualifications

Possess a recognised trade qualification in the engineering sector; electrical, plumbing, engineering and ideally qualified to the 18th Edition of IEE Wiring Regulations
