As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you'll be responsible for the planned maintenance, breakdown repair, and installation of commercial refrigeration units and catering equipment across client sites. You'll be the face of the company on the ground — solving problems, advising customers, and keeping busy kitchens running.
Day to day, you will:
- Diagnose and repair faults on commercial fridges, freezers, cold rooms, ice machines, ovens, fryers, dishwashers, gas equipment, and more
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits to keep equipment running reliably
- Complete clear, professional digital jobcards on our mobile system after every visit
- Liaise directly with site managers, head chefs, and clients in a polite and professional manner
- Manage your van stock and order parts efficiently
- Work as part of a wider engineer team, with full back-office and technical support behind you
Who We're Looking For
We're open to engineers at every stage of their career — from seasoned multi-skilled professionals to motivated new entrants ready to learn a trade.
Experienced engineers — we'd love to see:
- F-Gas Category 1 certification
- Commercial refrigeration experience
- Catering equipment knowledge (gas qualifications a strong bonus — COMCAT 1, 3, 5)
- Electrical competence (17th/18th Edition desirable)
- A clean UK driving licence
New entrants and trainees — we'll consider you if you have:
- A genuine interest in becoming a hands-on engineer
- Some mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or technical background (DIY, college, hobby, ex-forces, related trade — all relevant)
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- A clean UK driving licence
- A polite, professional manner — our clients are top hospitality brands and presentation matters
We'll fund and support your F-Gas, electrical, and gas qualifications as you progress.
