Seeking a dependable, well-rounded Fabric Fabrication Technician with hands-on experience with industrial sewing machines, hot air-welding equipment, measuring, cutting/slitting, packaging, and inventory control. This role is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable wearing multiple hats—from operating and assembling equipment to managing inventory and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain industrial sewing machines for the production line
- Operate hot-air welding equipment
- Assemble fabricated parts and components according to specifications and work orders
- Read and interpret basic drawings, diagrams, and instructions
- Manage and track inventory, including materials, parts, and supplies
- Receive, organize, and stock incoming shipments
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical or operational issues
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of hands-on technical or shop experience (fabrication, manufacturing, or similar)
- Experience operating industrial sewing machines preferred
- Basic welding knowledge or willingness to learn
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift materials and work on your feet for extended periods
- Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, or production environment
- Familiarity with inventory systems or basic computer skills
