Multi-Skilled Tradesman

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Multi-Skilled Tradesman to work on a full house refurbishment project, including a new basement. The ideal candidate will be capable of independently carrying out a variety of trades—such as carpentry, plastering, brickwork, and basic plumbing/electrical—ensuring high-quality workmanship across all areas of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently perform tasks across multiple trades, including carpentry, plastering, brickwork, tiling, and finishing works
• Construct and support basement works, including underpinning preparation, slab work, and structural elements
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Manage own workload and tools effectively while coordinating with other trades
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and site procedures
• Assist in planning and problem-solving on-site to ensure smooth progress

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a skilled tradesman across multiple disciplines
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results
• Experience on residential refurbishment and/or basement construction projects preferred
• Skilled in reading drawings, following specifications, and problem-solving on-site
• CSCS card and relevant trade certifications preferred
• Own tools and equipment

Desirable:

• Experience in structural works, underpinning, and basement builds
• Strong communication skills and teamwork when coordinating with other trades
• Flexibility to work across different trades as needed

Working Conditions:

• Site-based role on a residential refurbishment project
• Work includes basement construction, underpinning, and general refurbishment
• Physically demanding; some work in confined spaces may be required

Pay: £16.27-£24.54 per hour
