Reactive Maintenance Repairs
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across a variety of commercial and residential properties. You must be confident in kitchen plumbing, bathroom plumbing and general plumbing & maintenance. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with a range of tools and equipment. The ideal applicant will demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, physical strength for heavy lifting, and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality service.
Salary negotiable dependent on qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with safety standards and building codes.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete tasks efficiently.
- Conduct inspections to identify faults or potential issues within plumbing systems.
- Measure and cut materials accurately using basic maths skills to ensure proper fitting.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely during installation or repairs.
- Assist in assembly of plumbing components for new constructions or renovations.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during operations.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as electricians or carpenters when necessary for complex projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience in plumbing, with additional skills in welding, carpentry, or mechanical knowledge considered advantageous.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques related to plumbing work.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to installations and repairs.
- Valid driving licence for commercial driving duties if required on site.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Physical fitness suitable for working in confined spaces or at heights as needed.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in plumbing or related trades are preferred but not essential for all roles.
