Job Description
Position Summary:
The Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Senior Trainer/Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality, trauma-informed training programs for multidisciplinary team (MDT) members, community partners, and child-serving professionals. This position plays a key role in advancing the mission of the Child Advocacy Center by equipping professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent, identify, and respond effectively to child abuse and neglect.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Design and Development
Design and develop research-based, trauma-informed training curricula tailored to child abuse prevention, intervention, and response.
Create training materials including facilitator guides, participant handouts, multimedia presentations, and evaluation tools.
Ensure all curricula reflect best practices in child protection, trauma-informed care, and relevant laws and regulations.
Customize training for various audiences, including law enforcement, child protective services, prosecutors, educators, medical professionals, and community organizations.
2. Training Delivery
Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions locally, regionally, and nationally for professionals and community members.
Adapt training content to different learning styles and professional disciplines.
Conduct pre- and post-training assessments to measure knowledge gains and training effectiveness.
Provide follow-up support and consultation as needed to training participants.
3. Collaboration and Partnership
Collaborate with MDT members and community stakeholders to identify training needs and gaps.
Serve as a subject matter expert on child abuse dynamics, trauma-informed practices, and multidisciplinary response.
Work closely with the CAC’s leadership to align training initiatives with strategic goals and grant deliverables.
4. Public Awareness and Outreach
Assist in developing public education campaigns and awareness materials related to child abuse prevention.
Represent the CAC at community events, conferences, and professional development forums.

Shift
40 hours per week / Monday - Friday
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Education, Social Work, or related field.
- Experience working in a Child Advocacy Center or with MDTs.
- Experience developing online learning modules or e-learning platforms.
- Familiarity with NCA standards and other child welfare frameworks.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $65,000-75,000 annually
Grade: GGS-011
