Job Description

Position Summary:
The Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Support Specialist plays a critical role in coordinating and facilitating the collaborative efforts of the Child Advocacy Center’s MDT members, which include law enforcement, child protective services, prosecutors, medical and mental health professionals, and victim advocates. This position ensures timely communication, case tracking, and case review facilitation in accordance with CAC protocols, promoting a trauma-informed, child-centered response to child abuse.

Key Responsibilities:
1. MDT Coordination & Communication
Serve as a liaison between all MDT members to support communication and case collaboration.
Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate regular MDT case collaborative meetings.
Maintain and update the MDT roster, contact lists, and communication protocols.
Distribute case information, meeting agendas, and notes in a timely and confidential manner.

2. Administrative Support
Assist in the development and implementation of MDT policies, protocols, and interagency agreements.
Provide administrative support for MDT-related projects, grant reporting, and audits.
Coordinate logistics for MDT trainings, workshops, and continuing education opportunities.

3. Program Quality & Team Support
Promote trauma-informed and child-focused MDT practices.
Identify gaps in service coordination and assist in the development of solutions with leadership.
Support continuous quality improvement efforts, including surveys and data analysis.

4. Public Awareness and Outreach
Assist in developing public education campaigns and awareness materials related to child abuse prevention.
Represent the CAC at community events, conferences, and professional development forums.

5. Training Delivery
Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions locally, regionally, and nationally for professionals and community members.
Adapt training content to different learning styles and professional disciplines.
Conduct pre- and post-training assessments to measure knowledge gains and training effectiveness.
Provide follow-up support and consultation as needed to training participants.

6. Confidentiality & Ethics
Uphold confidentiality standards in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
Demonstrate professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information.
Adhere to the National Children’s Alliance (NCA) standards for accredited CACs.

Shift

30 hours per week / Monday - Friday
Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Psychology, or a related field
  • Experience working in a Child Advocacy Center or with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with the dynamics of child abuse, trauma-informed care, and victim advocacy.
Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $65,000-75,000 annually
Grade: GGS-011
