Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Multigrade Teacher to inspire and educate students from 3rd to 5th grade in a vibrant classroom environment. Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for grades 3 through 5, incorporating literacy education, math, science, and/or social studies.
- Utilize learning technology tools to enhance student engagement and facilitate interactive learning experiences.
- Implement effective classroom management techniques to create a positive, disciplined, and inclusive environment conducive to learning.
- Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparations.
- Provide individualized support and tutoring to students with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, lesson planning, and school-wide initiatives to promote best practices in childhood development and early childhood education.
- Mentor students in social-emotional skills, behavior management, and conflict resolution while fostering a supportive classroom community.
- Engage with parents and guardians through clear communication about student progress and classroom activities.
- Incorporate resources into lessons to promote literacy skills and lifelong learning habits.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience is required; experience with multigrade classrooms and grades 3-5 is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and assessment strategies.
- Strong background in teaching literacy education, math, science and/or social sciences within an elementary setting.
- Familiarity with teaching tools such as learning technology platforms, standardized testing procedures, and behavior management techniques.
- Previous private school experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
