Project Overview and Role:

Data.FI is a global project mechanism funded by the U.S. Government through the Department of State. Data.FI supports host country governments to improve existing health information systems (HIS) and conduct in-depth analysis of epidemiological and program data that inform responses, to manage gaps in programming and maintain impact by supporting the transition of local partners.



In Guatemala, Data.FI leads a team of technical advisors with experience in digital health and quality management systems to enhance health programming in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the U.S. State Department Office of Foreign Assistance. mitigate the impacts of the COVID and HIV epidemic[LC1] .


Purpose of the role:

The audiovisual materials and documentation specialist will work closely with Data.FI staff to develop documentation, audiovisual materials, and related resources, including DERCAS documentation, user guides, and technical manuals, to strengthen knowledge transfer. The consultant will also produce the materials needed for print and digital use by individuals assuming new responsibilities related to these areas.



Main activities:
Prepare a work plan with specific milestones and products.
Review the documents prepared by Data.FI
Map training priorities based on gap analysis.
Coordinate closely with the team designated by the IT Directorate and the Data.FI Project.
Identify, if necessary, other training priorities.
Adjust the proposal based on the recommendations.
Design of digital, printed, audiovisual materials.
Adjust materials based on recommendations.

Required Qualifications:

Professional in organizational capacity building, as well as management of resistance to organizational change.
Broad experience, preferably, in the design of training strategies and materials for MSPAS programs and DTI.
Experience and domain in graphic design.
Experience in communication work with international organizations and/or cooperants of health, nutrition, HIV, COVID, etc.
Broad experience in scaling participatory training processes.
Proven experience in the design and development of digital, printed, audiovisual materials, etc.
Capacity and experience in the mediation of methodologies and materials.
Be familiar with the national health information systems in Guatemala.

Key competencies required:
Strong organizational, stakeholder and people management skills are required; Existing relationships with U.S. Government stakeholders, MSPAS and other interested parties will be valued.
Strong cross-cultural, interpersonal, management and collaboration skills involving multiple teams and stakeholders,
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
High self-motivation and ability to work independently and in a team.
Ability to actively listen, desire to transmit knowledge, guide and provide constructive feedback to work teams.
Detail and deadline oriented, with strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, solution-focused environment with changing requirements and priorities.
Ability to effectively write technical documents, conduct meetings, conduct training courses, and make presentations.
Proficiency in handling Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams)
Experience in handling graphic design tools.
Experience with virtual training tools will be valued.
Fluency in Spanish is required
Proficiency of English will be considered as a plus.
