Seeking a Multimedia Community Media Producer to support video production, advancing AI technologies, live streaming, and community storytelling.

TV Santa Barbara (TVSB), the region’s nonprofit community media center, is seeking a Multimedia Community Media Producer to support video production, live streaming, and community storytelling across television, streaming platforms, podcasts, and social media.

This role is ideal for a video creator, podcast producer, or digital storyteller who enjoys both producing media and helping others create it.

Position Overview

The Multimedia Community Media Producer supports community members, staff productions, and partner organizations by helping create and distribute media across multiple platforms.

This position blends:

• Video production
• Live streaming support
• Podcast recording and editing
• Television channel programming
• Social media and YouTube distribution
• Community member training and production support

You will help transform community ideas into polished media that can reach audiences locally and online.

Key Responsibilities

· Assist with live streaming of community events and studio productions

· Support multi-camera studio recordings and podcast sessions

· Prepare productions for broadcast and digital distribution

· Ensure content is optimized for television, streaming, and social media

· Program shows for TVSB’s broadcast channels

· Upload and organize content for YouTube and digital platforms

· Write titles, descriptions, and metadata for programs

· Edit video content for broadcast and digital distribution

· Create thumbnails, captions, and promotional graphics

· Produce short clips for social media from longer programs

· Help community members launch shows or podcasts

· Provide production guidance and basic training

Innovation & Emerging Media Tools

· Explore AI-assisted editing and captioning tools

· Implement automated transcription and translation workflows

· Generate social media clips from long-form programs

· Help streamline media publishing and content organization systems

Qualifications

· Experience in video production, journalism, podcasting, or digital media

· Familiarity with video editing software (Premiere, Final Cut, Resolve, etc.)

· Basic studio production skills (lighting, cameras, audio)

· Experience with YouTube or social media publishing

· Podcast production or live streaming experience

· Graphic design tools such as Canva or Photoshop are a plus

· Interest in emerging media tools and modern production workflows
