About the Role

The Multimedia Content Assistant supports communications, marketing, and digital media efforts for Creative Greensboro. This role blends creative production with strategic communication, helping to ensure consistent, engaging, and accessible storytelling across platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and produce digital graphics, print materials, and promotional assets aligned with City branding standards.
  • Capture and edit photo and video content for use across social media, websites, and other platforms.
  • Assist with social media management, including content planning, scheduling, and posting.
  • Support storytelling efforts that highlight programs, events, and community impact.
  • Capture multimedia content at City events, including evenings and weekends.
  • Assist with website updates, email communications, and outreach initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Communications Specialist and leadership to implement communication strategies.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Graphic Design, Media Production, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in communications, marketing, or digital media production.
  • Proficiency in graphic design and video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines with limited supervision.
  • Required: Submission of a digital portfolio demonstrating graphic design and video production work.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a municipal, nonprofit, or arts and culture environment.
  • Knowledge of social media analytics and digital engagement strategies.
  • Experience with photography and visual storytelling.
