Multimedia & Marketing Assistant

Job Overview
The Kentucky Society of CPAs is seeking a part-time Multimedia & Marketing Assistant to support graphic design, digital media, video editing, photography, and print publications, including social media, email marketing, website content, and the Kentucky CPA Journal.

This entry-level role is designed to provide comprehensive support to the Communications, Marketing, and Creative team. This position requires a motivated and creative professional or recent graduate looking to gain diverse, hands-on experience by contributing to digital, print, photo, and video projects. Working within a highly collaborative and professional environment, the successful candidate will help execute multi-channel campaigns and develop engaging content that elevates the organization’s brand presence. This part-time position requires in-office work three days per week from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. and occasional travel for events that may extend after 5 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Content & Graphic Design

  • Design and produce visual assets for digital platforms including social media, email marketing, and website content
  • Ensure all creative materials align with established brand guidelines

Multimedia Production

  • Capture and edit photo and video content for marketing initiatives and events
  • Produce engaging video content for social media and marketing campaigns

Website & Digital Platform Maintenance

  • Assist with maintaining and updating KyCPA’s WordPress website
  • Support website content updates and digital best practices

Print & Publication Design

  • Assist with the layout and design of print materials and publications
  • Support production of The Kentucky CPA Journal and other printed collateral

Event Support & Coverage

  • Assist with staffing KyCPA events, conferences, and networking programs as part of the marketing team
  • Capture professional photography and video content at events for use in social media, marketing materials, and organizational archives
  • Support basic event setup and breakdown when needed

This role may require occasional local travel and evening hours to provide event coverage.

Team Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with the marketing and communications team on campaigns and projects
  • Help manage multiple projects and meet established deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or a related field
  • Strong foundation in marketing, branding, or visual design principles
  • Experience managing social media platforms preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint)
  • Ability to work in a Mac-based environment

Preferred Skills

  • Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • WordPress website management
  • Basic knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, and web content best practices
  • Video editing tools such as iMovie, Canva, or Adobe video tools

Physical Requirements

This position primarily works in an office setting and requires:

  • Extended periods working at a computer
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, or lifting
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds to assist with event setup and breakdown
  • Ability to travel locally for events

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 22.5 per week
