Job Summary
This isn't a babysitting job. It's something better.
Rosie is a platform connecting experienced household and childcare professionals with families across the Seattle area — and right now, we have multiple families actively looking for a Mother's Helper. This isn't a one-family post. When you join Rosie, you're joining a network of vetted professionals matched with families who respect your experience and pay accordingly.
Our Rosie Pros are warm, capable, and organized — people who love helping families run smoothly, not just watching kids. If you're the person friends call when they need help getting it together, this role was written for you.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
- Supporting parents during the morning rush — getting kids fed, dressed, and out the door
- Light tidying, laundry folding, and keeping common areas picked up
- Taking initiative in someone else’s home to leave it 10% better than you found it
- Supervising kids while a parent works from home or heads out for a night out
- Helping with homework, crafts, or activities to keep kids engaged
- Being the calm, capable presence that lets a busy parent breathe
Who This Is Perfect For
- People who love both kids and keeping a home running smoothly
- Former nannies or au pairs who want variety beyond pure childcare
- Teachers or school staff who are detail-oriented and great with routines
- Stay-at-home parents returning to work who know exactly what families need
- Household managers or personal assistants looking for flexible family-focused work
- Anyone who's been told they're "unbelievably organized" at least once
You're a Great Fit If You…
- Take initiative without being asked twice
- Are trustworthy, punctual, and genuinely enjoy helping
- Can shift from folding laundry to helping with a math worksheet without missing a beat
- Know how to work with a parent, not just for them
- Treat someone's home with the same care you'd give your own
Benefits
- Flexible schedule — you control your availability
- Work with multiple families or stick with a few — your choice
- Referral program
- Professional development assistance
