We are currently seeking a Music, Dance, & Theatre teacher for schools in some San Francisco Bay Locations (South San Francisco, Daily City, San Mateo, Pacifica, and other San Francisco locations). Currently hiring for a part time Performing Arts teacher. Must have own transportation and be able to travel to multiple locations. Shifts are 9am-12pm, Monday - Friday. Must be able to teach Theatre in addition to 1 or more other disciplines.

Building Kidz Schools are in locations from San Francisco up to Sacramento and are expanding and transcending the way we teach performing arts! Our vision is to empower children to become strong and confident individuals through the use of our performing arts program.

Prospective teachers should be VERY comfortable being dramatic, silly, and ready to think on their feet! They must also be comfortable working with kids ages 2-6. Our Teaching Artists will be trained to use our very specific curriculum. This is a great opportunity for talented people to share their skills and teach the joy of music, dance, and theatre.

An ideal candidate has experience teaching or working with young children, is energetic and flexible, and has a background in two or more practices of music, dance, and theatre. Classroom management and being able to travel to multiple schools in the area is a must. We are currently seeking a Music, Dance, and Theatre Teacher for schools in the San Francisco area.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching Performing arts classes to groups of children ages 18mo - Kinder.
  • Individual classes range from 15-30 minutes.
  • Shifts are typically in 2- 3hr increments (9am-12pm, and/or 2:30- 5:30pm)
  • Curriculum development and lesson planning.
  • Ability to promote a feeling of security and trust in children by being warm, supportive, and comforting.
  • Able to effectively collaborate with other performing arts staff to plan two imaginative show productions a year, including but not limited to music, dance, theater, set design, and costume design.
  • Ability to work harmoniously in a multi-cultural team.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Performing Arts Director.
