TITLE: Music Marketing Specialist

REPORTS TO: Music Marketing Manager / Director of Music

FLSA CLASS: Exempt


The job duties described below are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job classification. Description of the Position:

This position's primary responsibility is to assist the Music Marketing Manager with the day-to-day and long-term operations of the music marketing department. Duties include but are not limited to: maintaining marketing planning programs with the utmost attention to detail; uploading ad plans for marketing team; maintaining marketing material schedules, prioritizing and trafficking content for graphic designers, proofers and printers; monitoring progress and submitting materials to printers, advertisers and representatives by the necessary deadlines; booking advertising as scheduled by Marketing Director; monitoring sales attending meetings; communicating with vendors, reps, customers, department heads and DMs as needed; occasional travel to other McMenamins locations for meetings or events. Venues include, but are not limited to: Crystal Ballroom, Spanish Ballroom, Mission Theater, White Eagle Research upcoming artists, including affinities, demographics, social media metrics, etc. Web research Etix tools Artist outreach Email and SMS marketing Assemble email distribution lists Build email and SMS content Execute dedicated, calendar and genre-based sends Assist in overseeing Meta paid and organic executions Basic graphic editing Oversee creation of calendar creative (print ads, venue calendars, slideshows, etc.)Run comprehensive marketing campaigns on select shows Build ad plans Manage tasks related to campaign lifecycle Manage and track ticket giveaways Settle Administrative tasks Coding invoices Populating online calendars Executing and tracking ticket giveaways Poster printing and logistics Google Analytic reports Artist asset management Writing copy Work independently and with a team. All employees are expected to perform their job in a safe manner and report any safety concerns to Management. All McMenamin employees will also be expected to keep current on all company history, events and products. Other duties as assigned by the manager. Requirements of the Job:

Required skills / experience

  • Experience in the music industry or related field
  • Experience with email marketing tools (MailChimp, Hive, Cymbal, etc.)
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite, G-Suite skills
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Photoshop and multimedia management software
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Copywriting experience
  • Organized
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well both remotely and in a team environment
  • Experience in Meta marketing a plus (RHP handling paid, social team handling organic, so this not required)
    • Build Campaign shells
    • Build audiences (interests, retargeting)
    • Install audiences into ad set shells
    • Build ads
    • Facebook event building
  • Experience with AI tools a plus
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics a plus
  • Computer skills in Word, Excel
  • Experience or degree in marketing or related area a plus
  • Knowledge of delivery services a plus
  • Occasional travel to other locations
  • Available to work the hours necessary to complete the job
