Music Library Clerk

Job Overview
Join our vibrant and very unique library team as a Library Clerk in our band music Library. Chatfield Music Lending Library is a non-profit and the only Band Library System which lends band music to bands and musicians from coast to coast and all over the world. We are currently seeking to hire an energized part-time library clerk. Hours are Monday and Tuesday, 9:00 - 3:00pm and Wednesday 9:00 - Noon.

Duties

• Accurate processing of music requests for mailing or emailing.
• Creating patron files and records as well as regularly corresponding with patrons via phone and email and other music library work as assigned.
• Ideal candidates will have the ability to display a friendly, tactful and courteous attitude, work in a clean music warehouse environment.
• Support library operations by answering the library phone, managing filing systems, checking materials in and out, and handling music returns.
• Proficiency in computer skills including data entry, software troubleshooting, and using integrated library systems
• Writing skills for documenting procedures, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate records
• Experience with filing systems and general library concepts is preferred but not required; training will be provided

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 per week
