We’re seeking a Sales Associate who doesn’t just sell instruments—they inspire musicians, build community, and share our passion for all things acoustic.

Founded by The Chapmans, a former full-time touring bluegrass band, we bring decades of expertise to serve musicians worldwide. Our mission is simple: to improve lives through music, foster community, and provide top-tier acoustic instruments to players of all levels.

About the Role:
As a Sales Associate, you’ll be the first friendly face (or voice) our customers encounter. Whether it’s helping someone find their first guitar or guiding a touring pro to their next favorite instrument, you’ll bring expert advice and genuine enthusiasm to every interaction. You’ll also support inventory operations, contribute to our creative online presence, and help keep the shop humming with positive energy.

What You’ll Do:
Customer Engagement

  • Greet and guide customers in-store and over the phone.
  • Provide personalized recommendations on instruments and gear.
  • Offer top-tier service and foster long-term relationships with our customers.
  • Be open to appearing in videos for social media to help put a face to our name and culture.

Sales & Shop Operations

  • Use iPads, computers, and client software to manage leads and customer preferences.
  • Help meet team sales goals and contribute to the overall success of the shop.
  • Tackle light maintenance tasks (string changes, tuning, neck adjustments).
  • Keep the store clean, organized, and welcoming.

Inventory Management

  • Assist with checking in, organizing, and labeling new inventory.
  • Ensure stock levels are maintained and the sales floor is visually appealing.
  • Perform occasional light lifting (instruments, cases, etc.).

Product Knowledge

  • Share your instrument expertise—whether it’s guitar, mandolin, banjo, or beyond.
  • Stay current on new products, trends, and innovations.
  • Help customers make informed choices that match their goals and playing style.

Who You Are:

  • A musician at heart (playing a stringed instrument is essential).
  • A great communicator who genuinely enjoys helping others.
  • A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • A lifelong learner, excited to grow your knowledge and skills.
  • Comfortable on camera and enthusiastic about contributing to our growing online presence.

Bonus Points If You:

  • Have experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
  • Know your way around instrument repair or Lutherie.
  • Have connections in the music world or a background in music education.
  • Have worked in a music store—or always dreamed of it!

Hours & Info:

  • Full-time: Typically 10 am – 7 pm (with opening/closing shifts and some Saturdays).
  • Part-time availability may also be considered.
  • Reports to: Corey Kirkland – Sales Manager

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
