Music Teacher

Overview
Garrett Park Music is seeking passionate and dedicated Music Instructors for all brass, woodwind and string instruments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education and experience working with students of various ages.

Responsibilities

• Establish and execute comprehensive music lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
• Teach various aspects of music, including theory, performance, and appreciation.
• Engage students through interactive activities and encourage participation in musical performances.
• Assess student progress in determining readiness to join Rock Ensemble
• Rock Ensemble directors will work with student bands to prepare them for live performances
• Assist with Rock Ensemble performances and in-house recitals

Experience

• Proven experience working with students in an educational setting
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management
• Experience in teaching or performing various musical styles
• Ability to teach multiple instruments is a plus
• A background in working with children is preferred
• Ability to support students with diverse learning abilities

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 – 15 per week
