Music Teacher

Job Summary

The Music Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging music lessons that develop students’ musical skills, creativity, and appreciation of music. The teacher fosters a positive learning environment and encourages participation in school music activities, performances, and competitions.

Key Responsibilities

Instruction & Curriculum Delivery

• Plan and deliver music lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
• Teach music theory, vocal training, and instrumental skills.
• Introduce students to different genres, cultures, and historical periods of music.
• Prepare lesson plans, learning materials, and assessments.

Performance & Activities

• Organize and direct school choirs, bands, and ensembles.
• Prepare students for concerts, assemblies, and competitions.
• Coordinate annual music programs and school events.

Classroom Management

• Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively.
• Ensure proper care and maintenance of musical instruments and equipment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s or any higher degree in Music, Music Education, or related field.
• Teaching certification (as required by local education authority).
• Proficiency in more than one musical instrument (e.g., piano, guitar, violin) and vocal training.
• Strong knowledge of music theory and history.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students of different age groups.

Working Conditions

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
