Teacher – Physical Education

Job Purpose:

1. To identify and promote core learning skills and teaching
strategies in Physical Education in Primary and Middle School. Plan
and deliver the Physical Education subject teaching (Theory and
Practical) which ensures progress for all students.

2. To develop in each child an understanding of the relationship of
good body function and exercise; to motivate each child to cultivate
physical fitness, hygienic habits, and good social and emotional
skills; to identify and develop talents of children in different fields of
sport; to develop strength, skill, agility, poise, and coordination in
individual, dual, and team physical activities and sports, in
accordance with each child’s ability.

Reports to: HOD – Physical & Health Education

Main working relationships: Branch Head/ Curriculum
Coordinators (PYP and MYP)

Duties:

• Plan, prepare, develop and deliver courses of study in Physical

• Develop and present lesson plans by using a variety of teaching

• Teach knowledge and skills in physical fitness, health education, and

• Observe, monitor and assess students’ on-going progress. Prepare

• Undertake pastoral duties and supporting students on an individual

• Keep up to date with developments in specialist subject areas,

• Use relevant ICT to support teaching and training.
